On August 13, the Okaloosa Schools Superintendent took the extraordinary step of endorsing three Incumbent School Board Members for re-election.
This shows EXACTLY what’s WRONG with the Management of our School District!
Healthy, Effective enterprises NEVER allow their CEO to select the Oversight Board. It is entirely Unethical for a CEO to attempt this. It is THE WORST Management Practice Possible!
WHY would the Superintendent engage in such blatant cronyism and political insider dealing? One Reason: The Incumbents simply don’t Challenge him or his administration….They ALWAYS Give Him A Pass….
– Since 2020 when local Businessman Dewey Destin left the School Board, Not One board member has Voted “NO” on any vote. Not Once.
– None of the Incumbents running for re-election Ever discussed or proposed a motion to write a letter to Governor Rick Scott asking him to Suspend disgraced Superintendent Mary Beth Jackson. If our School Board had its way, Mary Beth Jackson would have finished her term in November, 2020.
– A Disengaged board infected with Groupthink is a Superintendent’s Dream. They’re doing what the Superintendent and his political cronies WANT, Not what’s best for our Teachers, Staff, and Students.
WE MUST ALL SEE THIS FOR WHAT IT IS….A BLATANT VIOLATION OF ETHICAL STANDARDS AND SOUND MANAGEMENT PRACTICES!
