YES for Okaloosa Schools is a Citizens Committee Advocating for Improved Accountability on behalf of Teachers, Staff, Students & Parents in the Okaloosa County School District. Our Chairman, Pat Ryan, retired in 2014 from the USAF Reserve at Hurlburt Field and has lived in Niceville for most of the last 29 years. Pat has provided all our funding, and we do not solicit nor accept outside funding.
Our committee consists of local residents who are not politicians but are retired and current teachers, retired military, parents and current or former business owners. We are everyday citizens who want Improved Accountability in a School District that spends over $400 Million annually and is our county government’s largest employer. We are not beholden to, backed by nor affiliated with prominent politicians, parties or other committees. We just want what’s best for the Citizens of Okaloosa.
YES For Okaloosa Schools continues its mission of pushing to Improve Accountability in the Okaloosa School District via public outreach and education and by maintaining a watchful eye on Okaloosa School District dealings. We invite any interested Okaloosa residents, taxpayers and voters to join us.
